My great-great-grandfather Hans Dirchsen Præst, born 1830 in Dragør, sailed to Australia in 1853 to try his luck at gold digging. He did find gold – three small nuggets.

I have upcycled these – placed them in a silver locket, behind glass and surrounded by diamonds.
